Area Sales Manager – Southern Sweden & Denmark

Are you ready to take full responsibility for customer relations and sales in southern Sweden and Denmark within an international organization? Skyjack is growing and is now looking for an Area Sales Manager with a strong holistic approach to business and business development. The role involves a wide area of responsibility, significant influence, and the opportunity to impact long-term growth in the region.

About the role

As Area Sales Manager, you are responsible for Skyjack's sales in southern Sweden and Denmark. You drive sales results, develop the market, build long-term customer relationships, and manage administrative tasks related to the work. You work closely with customers, internal support functions, management, and the European sales organization.

You ensure that effective processes are in place to meet and exceed regional sales and profitability targets in line with budget and strategy.

Main responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Actively identify and engage new customers to increase market share
  • Plan and conduct customer visits, participate in trade shows, and follow up on business opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts, prepare quotes, and close deals
  • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets for all product lines
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, product development, and new business opportunities
  • Be responsible for the order process and ensure smooth and timely delivery
  • Deliver sales and performance reports through meetings, conference calls, and written reports
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Perform other tasks and projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation as well as internal standards and systems.

Experience and skills

  • Experience in sales within construction or heavy machinery
  • Strong business acumen and commercial thinking
  • Documented success in sales and account management, preferably within manufacturing
  • Proven experience in market development
  • Knowledge of the Swedish rental market is an advantage
  • High sense of pace and strong customer focus
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English
  • Good understanding of regulations and compliance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to use experience and good judgment to plan and achieve set goals
